A collection of foibles I and my friends and acquaintances have found. Spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes, general goofiness, etc...

Ronny Cox is a beautiful man!
Lynda Carter, on the other hand, has looked better...
From a dollar store DVD my mother purchased. :)

Sports bloopers
Some fun stuff here. :)
First we have a still from the documentary "Rising Son: The Legend of Skateboarder Christian Hosoi". Secondly, a still from the documentary "Stoked: The Rise and Fall of Gator", who is not only an inanimate object, but he's an extraordinarry one! Thirdly, a funny article from the Times Transcript I kept all these years.

Stupid Google...
Oh yes, I meant WONT! :p
Anyone else find Google is getting more dumberer all the time ease-of-useness-wise? First they made a radical change to the image search feature (which I stymied with a Firefox add-on) and now they've added that stupid magnifying glass thing (which I've also stymied with a Firefox add-on). Oh well...

Ownership?
There are SO many unnecessary apostrophes around that one could make an entire blog with them. That would be boring, so I'll just throw them in here and there. The A&W one said the same thing on both sides. The non-A&W one is from a dumpster behind the mall. They (the pet supply store) put them on two dumpsters and on their back door. They didn't last long because of rain and such...
Speaking of A&W, they had an M.S. fundraiser there this summer, and on the sign, it said 'Thanks for helping us beat MS.' Why is this not international news?! A burger joint ended Multiple Sclerosis?! :p

No, comment!
Overhead is now two words and wire seems to own something...
I remembered my all-time favorite: a nice, colorful, official sticker for an alarm company on the back door of Subway on King St. that said This Premise is Guarded by [whoever] Alarms. THIS PREMISE! I lost the pic I took of it long ago, so I actually drove downtown to get a picture of it again, but they removed it and painted the door... :(
Oh, and the grocery store near it that used to say it was open Satuday has the proper spelling now. B'oh!

Still, it looks odd...
It fits better, but I don't want to eat it...
And I don't like pineapple much, either, especially not on its own! Oh, and they misspell it in French on the other side of the label. (jaqcuier instead of jacquier) I've been buying it for several years now and they have yet to fix it.
Oh, and there's a Chinese restaurant called The Bleu Garden here. Not sure what the story is on that one, because I kinda think it also had the same name when it was the previous restaurant.(actually, now that I've had some time to think about it, I think the last restaurant may have been called Bleu Jeans or something like that...)

From a local dealership. It was like this for a couple of weeks. I figure either A) they didn't notice, B) none of their customers noticed, or C) they did notice but couldn't be bothered fixing it. I'm going with A.
What say you?
More non-pictured stuff: I also see a TON of punctuation errors around. Most of the time, it involves superflous apostrophes, like apple's, orange's, wire's, box's, etc... Many of them were found at a health food store where every single price sticker showed the name of the company; Natures's Best. :( Caesar is also spelled Ceasar in many menus. Sorry, menu's. Check your menu next time you eat out.
Starting out...
The above picture is the one that started my 'dumberer' thread[s] at buckethead.tk and theshizz.org. (I'll be posting some of the things they've found too, and will credit them accordingly) This was on every dashboard in a fleet of 20-30 cabs. (I know this is also a cost issue, i.e. they can't afford to fix them, but it still made me laugh!) Oh, and notice how the waiting time is 3/4 of a penny per minute! Man, I'd hire a cab to sit around for 48 hours just for fun at that price!
Oh, I used to have a bunch of pictures from around town of mistakes made on signs and such, but lost most of them due to hard drive failure. There are also some I missed out on taking pictures of. I will describe some of them from time to time, starting...now:
There was the spray painted 'NO PARKIG' on the ground near the service doors at Honda (fixed quickly) and the three huge signs in their lot advertising the Honda Ridegline (Ridgeline).
There's also the local pizza joint that's open from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM every day. (did have a picture of that, but the sign is fixed now...)
I also used to stay at the, according to the front door mat, Qulaity Inn in Romulus, Michigan. :p The quality of the service was just about as good.
Welcome to the dumbererest blog around!
I've never really been too interested in blogging. I had a[n] MSN Space, but rarely wrote anything there. A couple of the posts are good for a chuckle or three, though. I might include something from it here as an off-topic post. Perhaps a bit of my well-received datablob nonsense as well. Anyway, for some reason, I decided to make a blog here. I originally called it Ripplin's Rederick, as the URL indicates. But a while back, I decided to start collecting pictures of dumbness. Time for a...
...DISCLAIMER: I am not calling you dumb, just saying that people in general are getting dumberer*. It sure seems that way sometimes, what with the hyper-reliance on computers and fast typing. People can forget the most simple of grammatical and spellular rules. For example, in most cases, if you want to indicate that there are more than one of something, you add an s. Simple as that. An apostrophe before the s is not necessary. This is BY FAR the most common mistake I see. I think my favorite is box's.
So, sit back (even further if you already are) and enjoy the nonsense! :)
*I'm not prefect either, of coarse.
